We love talking with people about our design process. At times, we are inspired by the unique weave of the linen and start there. At other times, we want to create a specific color so we begin with the pigment. Regardless of which path leads us in, the design process is always one of discovery. We may be surprised by how the color absorbs into the linen at different rates, or how resilient the weave is to actually accepting our colors. Our process of painting requires both of us because these enteros actually weigh quite a bit when saturated with color. Our brushstrokes may dry out evenly or completely irregular…which is yet again, another surprise.
