November's weather has been stunning, so of course it was time to pull on the hiking boots and explore another end of our island. Why is it that we seem to keep saying 'This hike has been our favorite so far…'? Each path wanders through areas of the island new to us that have their own diversity, landscape & vistas.
After walking along Formentor Beach, we ascended pretty quickly through the rough & craggy Mediterranean landscape to breathtaking views. We nibbled feta & cucumber sandwiches while listening to the mountain goats & buzzing bees.
What's impossible to capture in these photos is the smell of this terrain. When the scent of drying pine needle meets the salt air -- it's fantastic. That might be one of the uniquely Mallorcan things we love most about this island.
